A free stock market game for school and college students in India

StockSaathi is a free virtual stock market game for Indian teenagers aged 13 to 18, whether you're in class 8 or in your first year of college. You get ₹1,00,000 of virtual money, real NSE and BSE stocks at real market prices, and an AI coach that points out beginner mistakes while you make them. It is free, there is no real money anywhere in it, and you can try most of it before you sign up.

For students

You probably hear about stocks, SIPs and "the market" long before anyone explains them. StockSaathi lets you find out how it actually works by doing it. Buy a few shares of companies you know, place a limit order, hold through a bad week and see what happens. If you panic-sell after a drop, the coach will ask you to look at the history first. If you put most of your money into one stock, it will tell you. Your report card grades your decisions, not your luck, so you can get better at investing without needing anyone to beat. New to all of this? Start with the beginner's guide.

For parents

For teachers

Every student gets a free individual account, and no teacher account is needed. When students sign up they can add their school and a class or batch code. The crash replays work well for discussion: run the COVID-19 or 2008 replay together and ask the class when they would have sold. Students can also send each other virtual cash by @username or redeem code, which is handy for small classroom challenges. There is no leaderboard ranking students by returns, on purpose: the lesson is decision-making, not gambling on short-term wins.
